Tribute to John Paul's Comic Book Expo

Any fan in our neck of the woods knows full well that there is a real dearth of worthwhile, local comic book shows.  Yet, the time, effort, and positive attitude that John Paul of Comic Book Expo, NJ puts into his monthly Wayne and Clifton shows reinforces the maxim:  quality, not quantity.
While seekers of the dog and pony aspects of Wizard World might be disappointed, any lover of comics, be they die hard collector or casual reader, will be taken in by the outstanding selection at John's shows.  From high grade keys to bargain books, the overwhelming majority of the dealers that work John's shows offer a wide variety at reasonable prices, and with a  friendly manner to boot.
John himself tirelessly works the room, greeting customers and dealers (usually he remembers everybody by name), enthusiastically running an auction at 12 noon that features items actually worth bidding on (including Golden and Silver Age; bidding starts at a $1), and maintaining the casual, friendly atmosphere.
To those tri-state area fans tired of paying steep admissions for the privilege of enduring cutthroat prices and rude dealers at the big shows, I urge you to take the time to check out local ones that are all about fun and fair play.  John Paul's Wayne and Clifton Comic Book Expos remember what it was like to first discover comics as a kid.
For that reason alone, it deserves the support of every area dealer and retailer, casual reader and high grade collector.
